My dad is a long time coin collector and got me interested when I was 8 and I've been hooked ever since. I became a serious collector in 1987 at age 11 when I was given a 1939 dime graded AU-50 for Christmas. I had always preferred dimes but this coin had a frosty, sharp look that my other coins didn’t and it inspired me to collect quality coins with great eye appeal.
Equal to my love of collecting is the enjoyment of sharing this hobby with others. The internet has opened doors for us to share information and distribute coins safely and quickly at fair prices which prompted the creation of www.coinsofcanada.ca.
Every coin has a story and it’s my passion to find the underappreciated ones that are often stored in boxes or jars, lost in closets and basements that are waiting to be found and adored.
